February 2009 found A Drop Of The Ocean working with students at the ACS on the design and making of several murals to hang in the school grounds. We brought white earthenware tiles coated in black slip to the school; 180 students worked on their own designs based on an international theme. This covered everything from Brazilian cable cars to Welsh dragons. Working from these designs and using sgraffito the school children depicted what their countries mean to them and what they love most about them.
The tiles are now glazed and fired and the mural's on display at the school.
